The Origami Series

These are ceramic sculptures handmade by Rita Kettaneh and inspired by Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. These forms challenge the building capabilities of wet clay that is soft and malleable and lacks the structural strength of paper. The result is Origami-like objects recognizable by their crisp folds, angular shapes, and light gentle bends.
